Wanderlust
The looking-glass of a desolate past
That calls to life the tensile faith
This fleeting phase shall always last;
This wanderlust shall never cease.
The whirl of life has firm duress
And locks away in oubliette
This rock-ribbed urge to caress
That profound inner wanderlust.
Yet I cede to arcane thoughts
For they pledge no éclat
And this gambit might yield naught
Except a lone, uncertain life.
Lone I might be, but never lonely
For the heart is brimming with secluded joy
Anticipating with élan and equinanimity-
The young delight of wanderlust.
